The Summer Youth Employment Program is a program that
gives Norwalk's teens (ages 14-18) a chance to be employed for the whole summer
and get the chance to witness, first hand, the responsibilities of having a real job.
The teens go through an interview and a training process. The interview is handled just as
any other interview for a job is. During training the teens are taught how
to present themselves while going to an interview and while being employed.
When the training is done the teens are placed all throughout Norwalk to work.
The locations can vary from summer camps to beauty salons.
Both ideal for teens who enjoy working with kids and those who have a passion for hair care.
